As this project starts to fill out, you may notice that some issues come up several times.  The feel of writing may seem different, but the subject matter is basically the same.

I want to assure you that you are correct.

Life, I’ve found, is a series of repetitions.  And in this Christian walk, it can sometimes be a reiteration of the repetition.  As much as I hate to admit it, it’s one of the things I love most about my relationship with the LORD.  In general, people don’t allow you a complete “do-over”, not even on the good things.  When you mess up, they may let you back to the edge of their lives, but they will always be watching your movements to see if you’re about to do it again (whatever it may be).  Even with the good things, you almost aren’t allowed to live it down because if you don’t top the thing you did originally, then your good is never good enough.

It is absolutely not like that with God.  You can (and will) repeat certain things as He is working on you.  He will eat your abuse, your neglect, your callousness, your stupidity, your ego, your pride, your arrogance, your independence while you 1. work out your decision and 2. commit to him.  You are inevitably going to screw something up but He has even made provision for that.  Psalm 37: 24  which in essence means that your stumble is simply your opportunity to get up and try again. Clean slate. Because He’s got you.
